Health Education Associates, Inc., a sister company of the Healthy Children Project, now offers both an English and Spanish version of a new evidence-based module for convenient learning at home. The new module, titled “Capture the Moment: Worldwide Report on Early Initiation of Breastfeeding,” is based on the UNICEF publication by the same name and takes an in-depth look at how countries around the world are implementing early initiation of breastfeeding, a powerful line of defense in the first hours and days after birth.
Through the module, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the state of breastfeeding globally as well as the latest recommendations of the WHO/UNICEF on how to improve early initiation rates worldwide to give babies the best start in life, including uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact between mothers and infants, breastfeeding as soon as possible after birth within the first hour after delivery, and practical support. The credits for the 100% online modules are as follows: 2 contact hours for RNs and CLCs and 2.0L CERPs for IBCLCs. To purchase the English version of the new module, click here. The Spanish version is available here. All participants will receive a certificate after successful completion.
