Develop your proficiency in the process of assessment and analysis of the breastfeeding dyad at Healthy Children Project’s Center for Breastfeeding Maternal Infant Assessment course. This advanced three-day class will cover topics such as optimal and sub-optimal breastfeeding-related anatomy of the mother and infant, breastfeeding assessment tools, and documentation.
The course is a prerequisite for the Advanced Issues in Lactation Practice class, which prepares lactation professionals for the Advanced Lactation Consultant (ALC) or Advanced Nurse Lactation Consultant (ANLC) certification accredited by the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice.
In 2020, the Maternal Infant Assessment course will be offered at three locations:
